This phrase was coined by the Greek physician Hippocrates around two and a half thousand years ago. It is a concept that is still very much embraced by holistic medical practitioners today, and in particular by naturopaths.
Naturopathy focuses on using symptoms as a guide to ascertaining the underlying cause of illness, and intends to guide the patient towards positive lifestyle changes appropriate for each individual situation.
Using methods including iridology, massage, nutritional guidance, herbal medicine, and counselling, a naturopath works closely with their patient to set achievable goals for health improvement and management.
Naturopathy may be tailored to function alongside other medical treatments. Please ensure all treating practitioners are aware of other medical care you are receiving.
Where further assessment is required, our naturopath may refer patients to our osteopaths or our remedial massage therapists, who also embrace a holistic approach. There may be instances where a referral back to your GP is advised.

Iridology is the study of the coloured part of the eye, the iris. Skilled observation of this area can lead to a better understanding of how a person's body is functioning. It can assist in identifying inherent dispositions (how our body reacts to our environment and what symptoms are most likely to occur) and can be an indicator of information about metabolism and tissue quality.
Each patient receives a detailed iris analysis sheet as well as basic diet and lifestyle advice.
