Isabel Mettler

The osteopathic approach aims to help the body to return to optimal mobility and function of all its systems by addressing the cause of the problem and not just the symptoms you perceive.

Osteopathy utilises a combination of techniques to fine tune and balance the body, and to assist its natural self healing and self regulating mechanisms.

Osteopathy is suitable for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Born and raised in Switzerland, my continuous fascination with the workings of the human body drew me to Melbourne to study Osteopathy more than 16 years ago.

I utilise a gentle, hands-on approach to treatment, in conjunction with down-to-earth discussion and advice on treatment, lifestyle and preventative care for the whole family. With a background in Pilates training and working with disabled children, I have a particular interest in the treatment of infants and children, pregnancy care and chronic pelvic problems.

Osteopathy aims to provide gentle support and aid for pregnant women during all stages of pregnancy.

Cranial Osteopathy consists of various very gentle techniques applied to the whole body. This gentle approach is used on babies after difficult births, which can lead to general unease, colic, reflux, or feeding issues.

Furthermore I like to support my patients with lifestyle advice such as work ergonomics, exercise, nutrition and other modalities of complementary health care to assist those who want to take on more responsibility for their own wellbeing.

Please feel free to call me to discuss whether Osteopathy may be beneficial to you, your family and friends.
