Luke McCarney
Dr. Luke McCarney graduated as an Osteopath from RMIT. He discovered Osteopathy as a teenager when dealing with knee and ankle injuries playing basketball. When the opportunity arose for Luke to study Osteopathy, he took it with both hands and has not looked back since.
Luke utilises treatment techniques such as soft tissue massage, muscle stretching, joint mobilisation, joint manipulation and Dry Needling as part of his consultation. He also has a focus on rehabilitative exercises as part of an overall management plan.
When not working as an Osteopath, Luke puts on his second hat as an anatomy demonstrator and student researcher, focusing on hip muscle assessment. This area has a strong importance in chronic low-back pain and knee pain, so Luke is particularly fond of managing these areas.
